another Success!

The opportunity to come together in person, over a meal, has become a powerful opportunity to learn about what we share with our neighbors.  Picture perfect weather, amazing food and drink and many hands made Sunday, Oct 23rd a memorable day.  To those who supplied the food, wine, decorating, music, and place to gather, the NaramataSlow Community Group would like to say thank you.  To view the full article where we formally acknowledge and appreciate all the organizations, businesses and people that made the 2022 Harvest Supper happen, please click on this link. #naramatalove is strong!

Mark your Calendars!
Naramata Outdoor Christmas Markets
 November 25 & December 2

Building on amazing success of the 2021 Winter Markets, your official ‘slow’ gang, the Naramata Slow Community Group, is back again for 2022 -- lighting up the darkest days of winter with 2 magical nights brimming with #naramatalove.

Mark your calendars with 2 festive outdoor Christmas Markets:
• Friday, November 25th and
• Friday, December 2nd
• 5-8 pm in Naramata Village on the Lower part of Robinson Road by 2nd Street.

Imagine a European-style community winter market with all the activities and vendors to make you proud to shop, and gift, a little (or a lot) of #NaramataLove! The market will have Christmas music, a fire pit to roast marshmallows, steaming hot chocolate, delicious locally made treats, and our amazing farmers, artisans and crafters offering up the most thoughtful, practical, flavorful and beautiful creations that you could stuff a stocking with. And of course, wine, beer, cider and spirit tastings to keep spirits bright.
So many delicious things to keep the belly full and the body warm - gourmet hot dogs, chili, burgers, samosas, hearty soups and snacks, Naramata’s favourite artisanal donuts and freshly made gelato, and an abundance of both sweet and savory baking.

The Naramata Church and Naramata Clothes Library will have their doors open, selling goodies to benefit the Naramata Christmas Hampers and rumour has it a pop-up Whoville is coming to Naramata just in time for the Markets! Watch @naramataslow social media for more details in the coming weeks.

Last but not least, we do have room for a few more makers, bakers or growers. If you are inspired to participate with any locally made or grown goodies please reach out to us at naramataslowmarket@gmail.com and we can get you the details, or call Dawn Lennie at 250-490-5761

Help wanted: Naramata Community Church Christmas Hamper & Community Need Fund

For many years Naramata Community Church has gathered donations of food and funds to provide Christmas hampers for those who need help at this time of year.  We have all experienced the rising cost of living. This year we have identified over twice as many families, couples and singles in our
community who are in need of help this Christmas.  Please consider being part of this Christmas project in our village.

Donations of groceries (canned goods and non-perishable items) as well as gift cards can be dropped off at the Library, the School, Sunday morning worship and at the Christmas @ The Hall event during the Village Christmas Market.
The names of recipients are kept confidential, and as the recipients have unique needs.

Cash Donations help us buy food and items that are most needed. Click this link for the Naramata Community Church’s page on the Canada Helps site where you can easily make your donation. Tax receipts will be issued.

Your donations will help people in our village this Christmas.  Thank you.
